3M Italy - Milan

The new headquarters of 3M Italy, situated in the Malaspina Business Park in Milan, was awarded the first prize in the category of Green Building at the2011 Mipim Awards in Cannes. This successful result is the product of synergies between the innovation and environmental protection goals of 3M, the commitment by architect Cucinella for an eco-sustainable architecture, the ecological programs of Prelios and the technical contribution of Teleya. The building has an outer facade designed to ensure an effective control of sunlight through brise-soleil shading apparatus, which allows light to enter while blocking out sun rays.
