Tiburtina Station - Rome
Designed by the architect Paolo Desideri, the project is based on the concept of a "bridge" station in which two main concourses are united by a gallery 21 meters above the railway tracks. This great glass gallery, suspended nine meters above the platforms, will form the backbone of the new station.
The project, valued at over 130 million Euros, will be completed in the year 2011. The Pietralata Atrium, one of the two main entrances, was officially opened on 10 December 2010. The project, valued at more than 130 million Euro, has completed in 2011.
